In which subject should I do my post graduation after MBBS?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Darulifta Deoband Waqf
In which subject should I do my post graduation after MBBS?
1) Obstetrics: We are expected to do abortions and tubectomy, the Qazi of Bhopal (where I live) said that it is permissible but the mufti that I follow, said it’s not allowed no matter what, so what should I do?

2) Surgery: I have heard that Muslim females who are very conscious about their modesty prefer to die than expose themselves in front of males surgeons, so I am thinking of breast oncosurgeon, but the problem here is that I have to work with males and do operations side by side; also in surgery we have to do scrubbing where we expose upto elbows, which we may have to do in front of males so this leads to exposing the satr of a female, so in this case what should I do?

In the name of Allah the most Gracious the most Merciful

The answer to your question is as follows:

Islam urges Muslims to acquire the knowledge of medicines and drugs to protect the living body from diseases. Ulama, due to its importance, regarded it as Farze Kifaya.

Muslim societies are without doubt in dire need of Muslim lady doctors for checkups and treatments. Muslim woman who observe parda and have never been open to strangers, hesitate to visit the male doctors and feel very shy to express their private problems to them, and indeed it is due to their modesty. Hence, Muslim women’s interest in attaining medicine knowledge meets a big objective of shariah and it is highly admirable in shariah.

You can choose whatever is more convenient to you. But before proceeding to become an obstetrician and gynecologist, you must know that there are some shariah rules about abortion.

Conducting an abortion may be permissible before the fetus has reached 120 days only when a trustworthy physician decides that the continuation of pregnancy poses risk to the mother’s life or health. Thereupon, it is permissible to conduct an abortion to preserve the mother’s life. However in the case the fetus has reached 120 days, it is not permissible to conduct an abortion even if it is medically diagnosed with congenital defects. Conducting an abortion when the age of the fetus has reached 120 days is considered killing a soul which Allah has forbidden in the Holy Quran. Killing a soul without right is absolutely a grave sin and both parties could be sinner.

And Allah knows best
