Answer:

  1. Rasoolullah (S.A.W.) mentioned:  “Whoever will preserve for my Ummah forty Ahaadith concerning important matters of their faith, Allah Ta’ala will raise him on the Day of Judgement as an ‘Aalim and I will intercede on his behalf and stand witness in his favour.”  A multitude of Muhadditheen are of the opinion that the words “Preserve for my Ummah” means reporting the Ahaadith to the Muslims even though one does not memorise it. From this explanation we understand that the person who merely memorises forty Ahaadith or forty Du’aas mentioned in the Ahaadith will not be entitled to receive the reward mentioned in the Hadith above.  We have not come across any Hadith explaining the reward of memorising forty Du’aas.  However, a person will be rewarded for memorising Du’aas and thereafter reciting them on relevant occasions.  (Mishkaat, Vol. 1, Page 32, Mirqaat, Vol. 1, Page 517)

  1. The Jurists have written that the various conventional insurance policies are inclusive of interest and gambling and therefore is Haraam.  (Halaal wa Haraam, Page 381)

  1. It is permissible to keep a girls name Muslimah just as it is permissible to keep a boys name Muslim.  This was the name of the great author of Ahaadith, Imam Muslim.

  1.   It is Makrooh-e-Tahrimi to perform Salaah behind a Jamaat-e-Islami.  If there is only one congregation in the locality and one is compelled to read Salaah behind such a person then one should only perform his Fardh Salaah behind him.  (Ahsanul Fataawaa, Vol. 3, Page 291, Raddul Muhtaar, Vol. 2, Page 299)

  1. The reward of praying Salaah with Jamaat is manifold in comparison to performing it individually therefore it is better to perform Salaah with the congregation even though it is led by a Jamaat-e-Islami.  (Raddul Muhtaar, Vol. 2, Page 301)
