Question:
Q1-Is it permissible to pray Salaat behind a Imam whose trousers are below the ankles in Salaat?
Q2-Dua while making Wudhu mentioned in Ta’limul Haqq Allahumagh firli zambi wa wasilee fee daree wa bariklee fi rizqi is this Du’aa mentioned in Hadith ?could you please provide the reference from Hadith book. please provide reference to answers Jazakumullah.
Answer:
1. The Salaah of that male whose trousers are below the ankles will be Makrooh-e-Tahrimi and it will be compulsory for him to repeat his Salaah. It will be preferable not to make such a person an Imam whose trousers are below the ankles; however there will be no harm in performing Salaah behind him if you cannot find a better Imam. The action of the Imam does not make the Salaah of the Muqtadi Makrooh in this case. (Imdaadul Fataawaa, Vol. 1, Page 263, Fataawaa Darul Uloom Deoband, Vol. 3, Page 117)
2. We have only found this Du’aa in Hisnul Haseen with regards to Wudhu. (Hisnul Haseen, Page 510). In other Hadith Kitaabs this Du’aa is mentioned with regards to Salaah and not Wudhu. (Majma’uz Zawaaid, Vol. 10, Page 143, Hadith 16967, Kanzul Ummaal, Vol. 2, Page 180, Hadith 3633, Page 676, Hadith 5080, Musnad Imam Ahmad bin Hambal, Vol. 5, Page 578, Hadith 16599, Tirmidhi, Vol. 2, Page 188)
