I was having constant doubt in prayer that I was dropping urine during prayer. So what my course of action was that I would go to the bathroom (unaware of the 5cm diameter rule) and removing my underwear and pants, washing the urine of my body… [

The question is somewhat unclear. As I seem to have made out from the question, you often get the ‘sensation’ that urine is exiting from your body. If that is all then you can ignore it all together. A certainty is not replaced by a doubt. A mere sensation not backed up by actual traces of urine can be safely ignored.

In the event that you actually ‘see’ some drops of urine then you need only run water over the affected area until the trace is removed. This should only take about a minute. There is no need to make the whole garment wet.

If you forgot where the urine was, just make an educated guess concerning where it might be and wash that area. After that you can consider the garment to be pure.

Filth does not transfer from one garment to another unless one is certain that the filth is wet and directly contacts the other garment. If either of these conditions are missing filth can not have been transferred. (Maraqi al-Falah, al-Hadiyya al-‘Ala’iyya)

In conclusion it is really quite a straight forward matter and one need not make it overly complicated. We are responsible for using our intellects and following the perfect sunna of the Prophet Muhammad (Allah bless him and give him peace). Do not even venture near the winding path of ‘maybe’s’, what if’s’ and ‘perhaps’’. It is a long road that leads to a dead end.
