Meat of animals slaughtered by Christians

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: Eating of Christian meat is (haram) forbiden? If it is forbiden (haram), can it be a reason for unaccepted dua and salaah (ibaadah)? What is the difference between haraam and sin?

Bismillaah

A: In contemporary times there are Christians who are not real or there are those who did not kill the animals as they are supposed to be killed. Hence, it is difficult to say that their slaughtering is halaal. However, if it can be verified that he is a true Christian and the slaughtering conforms to the shar`ee requirements then his slaughtering will be halaal.

Yes.

Every haraam is a sin.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
