Assalamoalikum warahmatullah wabarakatuh!! Respected Ulalam ikram…I once got to chat with a person who happens to b a salafi and says that going in jamat is a biddah.My father mashAllah happens to be a person who has a regular routine of going in jamat and i know very well that this work is the greatest of all deeds and one of the big sunnahs.I said that its just a setup to practice and he told me a story and a jist of a hadith.He said Once sahaba karam RAdiyallahu anhum Ajma’een were sitting in the masjid in a circle and were counting tasbeeh (subahanAllah,Alhamdulillah and Allahuakbar) each 100 times on small pebbles. Hazrat Omar Bin Khatab Radiyallhu Anhu saw those sahabah and went to RAsulullah SAW and told what he saw.RAsulullah SAW said that they are counting there sins. That person says…those sahabah were doing Zikr..and with a good intention..Y did Rasulullah SAW said that.In reference to that…he says that going in jamat is a biddah Can u kindly provide a solid and strong answer to prove that its not a biddah and biggest of all sunnah… wssaalam!!

Tabligh and preaching is proved by this verse and other verses of the Holy Quran as well the Hadith. All the Prophets (عليهم السلام) especially the last Prophet Muhammad (صلى الله عليه وسلم) invited people to Allah Almighty, so how can preaching be bid?ah (innovation in the religion)? This is the Sunnah of Prophets. Also, it is Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad (صلى الله عليه وسلم) and the Sahaba (رضوان الله عليهم) to go to villages for preaching. For this very purpose, the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) used to send a group of some Sahaba. Therefore, how can it be bid’ah be in group and go for preaching and doing tabligh.
