If we are praying behind the imam and in first sitting, after the two rakats, we started to recite the darood after finishing ‘al tahiyyat’, so, in a case like this do we have to do the ‘sajda-e-sahw’? What if a similar thing
happens when someone is praying alone? (USA)
If the person is praying behind an imam he doesn’t have to do the sajda-e-sahw. However, if the person is praying by himself/herself then if the recitation precedes the limit of ‘allahuma salli ala’ then that person would have to do the sajda-e-sahw, and if it doesn’t then the sajda is not needed.
