The group of people mentioned in the question are a branch of the Ismailiyah sect and they believe that Burhan-ud-Din Ibn-e-Tahir Saif-ud-Din as the 52nd da’ee. Their beliefs are well documented and can be found in different books. Some of those beliefs are mentioned below:
- They only believe in praying three times a day
- They deny the requirement of Salat-ul-Jumu’aah
- They believe that the chain of Imamat descends from the progeny of Imam Tayyab and that even though Imam Tayyab is in hiding, he guides the Da’ees
- In addition, they believe that the status of their Imams is equal to Rasoolullaah ﷺ and above other Prophets علیھم الصلوٰۃ والسلام
- They believe that their Imams have the authority to declare Halal and Haram
- They believe that their Imams have the authority to make amendments or cancelations in the Shari’at
- They believe that their Imams receive wahee (revelation)
- They believe that their Imams are innocent and are free from making any intent to commit any sin
- They believe their Imam to be the master of both religious and political governments, and believe his authority to be prevalent in every part of the earth, and declare his decision as final
- They render interest as permissible
- Their Masjid (also known as Jama’at Khanah), and cemetery are all separate from the Muslims
- They state the present Imam to be knower of the hidden, unseen and whatever is visible
- They believe that the Illumination (noor) of Allaah T’aalaa renders in their current Imam
- They deny the essentials of the Salah, Fasting, Hajj, and Zakat
- Instead of the five times Salah, they consider making Du’aa three times a day as sufficient
- They declare wudhu to be unnecessary and are of the conviction that wudhu is performed by the heart
- They don’t consider facing baitullah to be necessary and pray salah in whichever direction they like
- They reject fasting and say that the real fasting is of the eyes, ears, and nose, and eating or drinking doesn’t break the fast (مختصر از ادیان باطلہ، ص 81)
In addition to the above-stated beliefs, there are several other beliefs like these, the details of which can be found in the following books:
- فتاوٰی شامی (Fatawa Shami), Volume II, Page 314
- مجموعی رسائل ابن عابدین (Majmui Rasaail Ibne Aabidin), Volume I, Page 358
- تفسیر مظہری (Tafsir e Mazhari), Volume 5, Page 155
- رد المحتار (Rad dul Muhtar)
- صراط مسطقیم (Siraat e Mustaqeem)
- نجم الفتاوٰی (Najm ul Fatawa)
- فتوٰی جامعہ علوم الاسلامیہ بنوری ٹائون (Fatwa Jamiah Uloom ul Islamiyah Banori Town)
The ulamh kiram have written in several books that a sunni’s Nikah cannot take place with a person who holds the beliefs mentioned above.
