Is there any (physical or otherwise) effect of wearing a diamond ring? I noticed that my wife and I are having a lot of arguments and fights so we thought maybe it is because of the diamond ring. Please provide us guidance in this matter.

الجواب وباللہ التوفیق
Keeping a belief that a diamond or a stone is in itself effective (مؤثر بالذات) and that the fights are happening due to its effect is an unislamic and shirkia belief. All good or bad, peace and serenity or fights and disagreements are from Allah Subhanahau Ta‘ala and Him only. Allah Subhanahau Ta‘ala has not kept any benefit or disadvantage in the objects itself, and whatever happens is with His permission and will only. Allah Subhanahau Ta‘ala has written all of these details in our taqdir. You should try and refrain from having such thoughts and in case such thoughts do arise, read the following supplications:
اعوذ باللہ من الشیطان الرجیم آمنت باللہ ورسولہ۔
سبحان اللہ والحمد اللہ ولاالہ الا اللہ واللہ اکبر ولا حول ولا قوۃ الا باللہ العلی العظیم.
حوالہ: في ’’ صحیح مسلم ‘‘ : عن عبد اللّٰہ بن عمرو بن العاص قال : سمعت رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم یقول : ’’ کتب اللّٰہ مقادیر الخلائق قبل أن یخلق السماوات والأرض بخمسین ألف سنۃ ‘‘ ۔
