Question:

If a non-Muslim has acquired money through gambling and then gives this money to a Muslim to invest through which the Muslim will also receive a share of the profit, would this be permissible?

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Answer:

It is not permissible to use funds that are acquired in an impermissible manner.1

Faqih Abu Laith Samarqandi states:

“If a man gives a gift to a person who earns from usury, or an unjust man takes people’s money, then if most of his money is from Haram, then he should not accept it.2
