What should I do when I have doubts about my Salat?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Darulifta-Deoband.com
Assalamulaikum mufti sahib, I just wanted to ask few questions in regarding Salat which i want to clarify , 1. It has happened with me that once i prayed salat and later realized after finishing my salat that in the surah fatiha i missed to recite one particular line (siratal mustakeem). And that to i am not sure but i think i have missed. Because I dint realize in salat i didnt even did sajdah sahu .Also i am confused about it whether I read it or not . Please tell me what should i do in this situation. When some one is confused whether he has missed an arkan of salat . I know I dint missed my fard part of my salat . as reading fatiha is wajib 2. It has happened with me that some time i see spot of mazi in my under garment , less than the size of dirham , but issue is that i go to work and i pray my zuhar and asir salah at work and before salat i normally make wadhu but some time because i know that my wadhu is not broken i dont make wadhu again if i have already got my wadhu since zuhar and i pray Asir with the same wadhu . Once it happened when i cam back home i saw the sign of impurity in my under garment . Now i am confused whether my wadhu was broken after zuhar and i didnt knew about it or i got this impurity after the asir salat because I come back home riding bicycle and some time I get some mazi due riding bike . And i was really worried because i came to know about it when i went to toilet at the time of maghrib , due to confusion I repeated my asir salat with qaza neyat , but can you please tell me the way to overcome these doubts . 3. what should I do when I have doubt in my mind , it appears to be shaitan has constantly bringing doubt about my salat making me feel guilty whether I have performed my salat properly or not . Whether my wadu Is ok or not even though I take utmost care in making wadhu. Jazaak allah

Answer

(Fatwa: 787/610=H)

(1) There was no need for sajdah sahv, the salah was valid and there is no place for doubt.

(2) If you did not see or feel the mazi (pre-seminal fluid) then the cloth and place will be regarded as impure from the time when you saw the impurity. The prayers offered before that will be considered as valid and correct.

(3) Waswasah (overconcern/doubt) is groundless as per Shariah. If such doubts occur you should recite لا حول ولا قوۃ الا باللہ العظیم thrice and do not pay any attention to it.
