Salat and wudu as a police officer

Good Evening Team,

I have recently started a new job as a response Police Officer. The job role is to respond to 999 call incidents. So these are very serious cases such as potential suicide attempts, fire arms related incidents, missing people also social domestic issues and everything in between.

The problem I am having is keeping up with my salat times. For example I could get ready to do my salat and I have to leave before I start due to being called out and by the time I return I have missed ASR and MAGHRIB. This is just one example. I find I am consistently praying late or 2 prayers in one. What advice can you offer and can I stay in this job? I am responding to potential life or death situations so when I get called out it’s for very serious reasons.

Also is it possible to do wudu with boots on because its part of my safety kit and can I pray with boots on? They are leather and cover my ankles. Taking my boots off would slow me down in terms of response time to incidents.

Kind Regards

Make up prayers ‘ Qada prayers

Assalamu Alaykum

If I over estimate my missed prayers I calculate missed prayers for 10 years.

As this is a lot and will take a long time is it okay for me to miss the sunnah acts and just complete the fardh and wajib acts for the make up prayers?

Combining prayers

Assalamu Alaikum, Mufti saab I hope you are well and in the best of health. My question is regarding combining Maghrib and Isha in the summer months. My friend drives a taxi and a Masjid locally combines Maghrib and Isha in the summer months. Can my friend, as a Hanafi follow them in this matter? Jazakumullah for all your help.

Sunnah prayers while travelling

Asalamualikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh
I would like to ask about travel prayers. I understand that you must shorten the obligatory prayer, according to hanafi fiqh it is wajib. what is the ruling regarding the Sunnah’s prayers during travelling.

Please can you also confirm the exact distance to be a considered a traveller.

Please can you also confirm if the following rules are true or not:
1) I have recently heard that if a traveller is able to perform the Sunnah prayers with no inconvenience to them, they should read them?
2)The sunnah of fajr salah should not be left out? If this is true and one does leave it out, would you have to do qadha for this salah, even though it is a sunnah?

Is cash/gold received ON the zakat calculation date included in the calculation?

If my zakat calculation date is on the 1st of Ramadan. And on the 1st of Ramadan, someone gives me cash, or gold, or I get paid my salary on the date (say it gets deposited into my account in the afternoon of 1st of Ramadan), will I need to include this amount of cash/gold in my Zakat Calculation ?

Or do I only include only that cash/gold/silver which I own on the day BEFORE my calculation date in my calculation (what I own before maghrib of previous day enters).

Please guide me.
