I will be supervising a school trip, to a Hindu temple as part of Religious studies. The temple is quite far, my concern is the zuhr and possibly asr prayers I will most likely be given a room to pray in, should I just pray outside? Is it permissible to pray in a Hindu temple, or a room which is part of the temple? I thought that I could find out where a local mosque is, and pray there instead, but I cannot leave the children unsupervised, being one of the teachers.

It would be prohibitively disliked to enter a Hindu temple, being a place where gross shirk is committed. The scholars tell us (based on explicit Prophetic hadiths) that such places are the gathering places of devils.
