If a woman has a medical reason which causes her to bleed 15 days after her last period, a reason which she knows is NOT because of menstruation, then does she still have to classify that bleeding as menstruation if it lasts more than 3days?
for example:
1)she is taking the contraceptive pill but forgets to take it on day 13 of her pack, so she starts bleeding on day 15 (i.e. break through bleeding, not really a period though)
2)if she has a uterine/vaginal/cervical cancer/infection which causes her to have occasional bleeding
3)if the hymen is only just broken and bleeds continuously for over 3 days.
If any of these occur for more than 3 days, 15 days after her last period, does she have to consider this as hayd even though it isn’t?
4)is there any literature in English on this subject that you may know of?

Since the bleeding in the cited instances is due to medical reasons as stated by yourself, then it is not to be considered as Haidh but rather as Istihadah, since the definition of Haidh excludes such bleeding which is not due to ill health or health problems. This is true in the case of instances 2,3,4 below. However, the first instance, of missing the pill cannot be covered in this. And Allah knows best.
