Should we greet Muslims and shake hands with non-Mahrams in the workplace?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Darulifta-Deoband.com
1)I want to know in the business or profession of today, are we supposed to greet with GairMuslims by saying Good Morning, Hi, Hello. Because lots of them don’t know if we do Ada’ab to them. In fact they make a fun of this thing. (2).- In office, are we supposed to shake the hand with NaMehram. Because in my office every one comes to shake the hand in the morning and evening. If we avoid it or don’t do this then they mind it to object. Your answer in the light of Holy Quran Majeed and Hadith is appreciable.

(1) We are asked not to follow the traditional or religious sings of other nations. It is not Islamic way to say “Good Morning” or “Hello”. It is the method of others. Hence, we need not to follow the way of others. If it happens some time, we only can say “Aadab or Hadak-Allah or Assalamu Ala Man Ittabal Huda”.
(2) It is not right as per the Shariah to greet non mahram or shake hands with them. One should avoid it.
