What is the authenticity of the following statement:
Students are the guests of Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alayhi wasallam)

I haven’t seen this explicitly mentioned in the Hadith. This could’ve possibly been deduced from the following Hadith:
Sayyiduna Abu Sa’id Al-Khudri (radiyallahu ‘anhu) reports that Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alayhi wasallam) said:
‘Soon there will be people who will come to you to seek knowledge. When you see them, say to them: ‘Welcome! Welcome! as Rasulullah (sallallahu’alayhi wasallam) has advised [us to do so]. Then teach them.’
(Sunan Tirmidhi, Hadith: 2651, Sunan ibn Majah, Hadith: 248 and Mustadrak Hakim, vol.1 pg.88. Imam Ibn Majah has recorded another similar narration from Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (radiyallahu’anhu) as well, Hadith: 248. Also see Faydul Qadir, Hadith: 733)
This Hadith encourages us to be kind and considerate towards students of Islamic knowledge. None other than Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alayhi wasallam) has advised us with this.
