Q2-A blanket or a sheet which is used to cover oneself when sleeping has animate pictures on is it permissible to use such a blanket?

Answer:

1.      If a person possesses cash equal to the Nisaab then Zakaat will be become Waajib on him even though it may be for his Haajat-e-Asliyyah (primary needs). However if he gives his Zakaat to a poor person and hands the Zakaatable cash into his possession and then requests him to return the money to him, it will be permissible. However it is not permissible to make a condition at the time of discharging Zakaat to the poor that it is necessary for him to return that money. Therefore, if the poor person returns the money then well and good and on the contrary if he refuses to do so then he cannot be forced. (Raddul Muhtaar, Vol.2, Page.6-7, Ahsanul Fataawaa,Vol.4, Page.301, Fataawaa Rahimiyyah, Vol.2, Page.8-9)

2.      It is not permissible to wear or use any such garments or materials that contain animated pictures in order to beautify one’s self. Aisha (R.A.) narrates that Nabi (S.A.W.) never left any Tasaaleeb (pictures of living objects) in his home except that he broke them. (Bukhari, Mishkaat, Hadith. 4285, Page.385)
