According to our information about the Sect of Ahl e Hadees, there are various fundamental and divisional differences between them and the Ahl e Sunnath Wal Jama’ath. Like the Sect of Polyphonic (Firqa e Mujassama), they too believe that Allah Tha’ala to be seated in Arsh. They do not accept the noble Sahaba (Ridhwanullahi Alaihim Ajm’aeen) as the criteria of truth. It is their practice to criticize and find fault with the pious predecessors of the Ummath especially of the four Imams (Alaihimur Rahma). They consider following the Aimma e Arba’a which, according to the Ijma of Ummath has become Wajib, as impermissible and Bid’ath (innovation) rather some have gone to the extent of calling it to be Shirk. They are opposed to many of the Ijma’i Matters. Performing 20 Raka’aath of Tharaweeh to be Sunnat is established by the Consensus of the respected Sahaba (Ridhwanullahi Alihim Ajma
een) whereas they totally ignore it declaring it as an Innovation of Hadhrath Umar (Radhiyallahu Anhu). They consider the first Azan of Jumma to be an Innovation of Hadhrath Usman (Radhiyallahu Anhu). They refute the legality of three Thalaqs in the same Majlis which is established by authentic Ahadees and upon which consensus of Sahaba and ruling of the Jamhoor (unanimous ruling of scholars) stands, and issuing Fatwa considering it to be one Thalaq they make them indulged in Zina and other sinful activities. Some of them consider marrying more than four women at a time to be permissible. As for further clarification on the concerned subject the book IKHTHILAF E UMMATH AUR SIRATH E MUSTHAQEEM of Moulana Yusuf Ludhyanvi Rahmathullahi Alaihi could be perused.
