As per the Shari’a it is not correct to connect the Qurbani that is offered during Eid ul Adha only with the Haj Pilgrims, rather, it is compulsory on every Muslim who in addition to being a Muqueem (one who is a resident and not on journey), is a person of means as well. From the treasure of Ahadees e Mubaraka not only it’s obligation is established but also the execution of this Wajib act by Rasoolullah Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam himself for ten years and of his respected Sahabas Radhiyallahu Anhum. Also there are many severe warnings recorded for those who do not offer it and many virtues for those who execute it as witnessed by the narrations mentioned below. Hence it is necessary for the person concerned to refrain from engaging in such talk without any analysis.
