Translation

Sayyiduna ‘Umar (radiyallahu ‘anhu) is reported to have said: ‘Whoever amongst you exposes evil [deeds] then we will think evil of him and detest him for it [he will be held accountable for his actions, and as a result lose reliability and trustworthiness]. Your secrets [inner feelings, motives, and/or excuses that you may have] are between you and your Rabb.’ [You will be judged and dealt with amongst the people in accordance to what is manifest through your actions]

(Refer Fathul Bari, Hadith: 2641)
