Can you confirm the source, authenticity, and meaning of this Hadith?
When a person performs Salah at its earliest (most desired) time, that Salah ascends towards the heavens. It becomes light for the person and subsequently it reaches the Throne and supplicates for the forgiveness of the person who performed Salah until the Day of Judgement. It says, ‘May Allah Ta’ala safeguard you just as you safeguarded me.’ When a person performs Salah after its allocated time has passed, the Salah goes towards the heavens in such a manner that it is covered in darkness. When it reaches the Throne it is covered in an old cloth and thrown back in the face of the person who performed it. The Salah then states, ‘May Allah Ta’ala destroy you just as you destroyed me.’
Is this salah that was read in haste or salah that was not valid because of basic errors?
Answer
This is reported by Sayyiduna Anas and Sayyiduna ‘Ubadah ibn Samit (radiyallahu’anhuma) with weak chains that support each other. The less weaker of the two is the following:
Sayyiduna ‘Ubadah Ibn Samit (radiyallahu’anhu) reports that Rasulullah (sallallahu’alayhi wasallam) said:
‘When a man makes wudu properly, then offers salah and completes the ruku’, sajdah and the recital, the salah addresses him saying: may Allah protect you like you protected me. It is then taken up into the sky whilst it becomes bright and lit up. The doors of the sky are also opened for it.
When a man doesn’t make wudu properly, and doesn’t complete the ruku’, sajdah and recital, the salah curses him saying: May Allah destroy you, like you did to me!
It then rises to the sky in a dark state. The doors of the sky remained locked. Then the salah is wrapped like an old rag and thrown at his face.’

This Hadith may be quoted.
Meaning
The doors of the sky opening refer to the salah being accepted.
The opposite infers non-acceptance of that salah.
Generally, rushing through the salah results in one not fulfilling the postures adequately.
