Will Allah visit women in Jannah

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Fatwaa.com

Assalaamu alaikum wa rahmatullah wa barakaatuh

I remember once hearing that Allah will visit the women of this world who wore parda and concealed their bodies, in jannah. I wanted to knownif this is true and if we could tell people about this hadeeth.

Also, what is the ruling of wearing niqab according to majority of the ulema (and according to mufti saheb)

Jazakallah

Answer

Wa’alaykum as Salām wa rahmatullāhi wa barakātuhu,

We have not found any narration regarding Allāḥ visiting the women in Jannah. Unless a suitable chain of transmission is found, it will not be permissible to attribute this to the Prophet (sallallāhu ‘alayhi wa sallam), or to regard this as a Hadith.

The Niqāb refers to the veil worn by a female to cover her face from strange men whom she is not permitted to marry.

In principle, it is not obligatory upon a woman to don the Niqāb if there is no fear of temptation from males. If there is a fear of temptation from the opposite gender, then it becomes obligatory for a female to cover her face.

The Jurists declared that a female cannot expose her face, not because it is obligatory upon her to cover her face, but rather because of the fear of temptation.

Due to the great prevalence of immorality, immodesty, promiscuity, shamelessness and evil found in this era, and the greater risk of people engaging in temptation, it is now obligatory upon a woman to cover the face.

And Allaah Ta’aala knows best
