What if someone’s nose does not touch the ground during sajdah?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Darulifta-Deoband.com
(1) What if someone’s nose does not touch the ground during sajdah?
(2) What are the pillars of namaz?
(3) Is zakah on the advance of the rented house?

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

(Fatwa: 907/740/D=11/1437)

(1) It is sunnah to do sajdah putting the forehead and nose on the ground. If someone does sajdah only on forehead and does not place the nose on the ground then sajdah shall be valid but it is makrooh to do so without an excuse.

فإن وضع جبهته دون أنفه جاز إجماعا (الهنديه ج 1 ص 127 اتحاد ديوبند)

(2) Islam is based on five principles:

a.     To testify that none has the right to be worshipped but Allah and Muhammad is Allah’s Apostle.

b.     To offer the compulsory congregational prayers dutifully and perfectly.

c.     To observe fast during the month of Ramadan.

d.     To pay zakah i.e. obligatory charity for one who owns prescribed amount of wealth.

e.     To perform Hajj i.e. pilgrimage to Makkah for one who can afford it.

(3) There is no zakah on rental house. However, if the total wealth, including the income from rent, reaches up to nisab, then zakah is wajib on it.
