Mufti Saheb please could you answer the other questions i have asked last month. Christians have been asking me these questions and i have no clue, so it’s so important to me for these questions to be answered, so i can answer them in the UK.
They said,
In Surah 26 verse 16, it mentions: “Go to Pharaoh and say, ‘We are the messengers of the Lord of the worlds,” Is the word رسولا Rasula, singular, if so, should it be messenger?
If it is plural, could you provide any reference?

In the Name of Allāh, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.
The word رسول in Surah Shua’rah, ayat 16 is written as singular, but it is referring to Musa Alaihi Salam and Haroon Alaihi Salam.[1]

وأفرد رسول هنا ولم يثن، كما في قوله: (إنا رسولا ربك) ، إما لأنه مصدر بمعنى الرسالة، فجاز أن يقع مفردا خبر المفرد فما فوقه، وإما لكونهما ذوي شريعة واحدة فكأنهما رسول واحد. وأريد بقوله: أنا أو كل واحد منا رسول.
(ورسول رب العالمين) فيه رد عليه، وأنه مربوب لله تعالى، بادهه بنقض ما كان أبرمه من ادعاء الألوهية، ولذلك أنكر فقال: (وما رب العالمين) والمعنى إليك، (وأن أرسل): يجوز أن تكون تفسيرية لما في رسول من معنى القول، وأن تكون مصدرية، وأرسل بمعنى أطلق وسرح، كما تقول: أرسلت الحجر من يدي، وأرسلت الصقر. وكان موسى مبعوثا إلى فرعون في أمرين: إرسال بني إسرائيل ليزول عنهم العبودية، والإيمان بالله وبعث بالعبادات والشرع إلى بني إسرائيل وإرسالهم معهما كان إلى فلسطين، وكانت مسكن موسى وهارون
