my question is can i stop my sister in law to go to my uncle house alone (mother brother) as it is creating lot of confusion in the family she is my eldest sister in law among four brothers and i am the youngest son in law to her but my second brother says i can’t say her as i have no right to say in her life. but i argued that if she want to go then go with our mother as her relation starts with my mother only this situation started when my uncle divorced her 2 wife and my sister in law was very close to her and after divorce also my sister in law is in touch with her and my uncles first wife sons think she is secretly saying every activity to my ex aunty. in this matter i have discussed with my elder brother also but she haven said anything to his wife for that reason i said to her in front of my mother and sisters whether i have the right to say her or not.

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.
Your sister-in-law should maintain cordial relations with one and all. The laws of purdah should be observed with those she is supposed to. This is the requirement of Shariah. Situations which can cause unnecessary tensions and suspicions should be avoided. Your sister-in-law should either go with her husband or your mother to visit the relatives. Unnecessary chit-chat and gossip and futile talk should be discouraged. The family should strive in working to make a harmonious climate and for that they should act accordingly with due diligence and tact. Your sister-in-law should be advised by the elders of the house.
