How can I reconcile my desire for tasawwuf with my friends’ commitment to tablighi Jamah?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Darulifta-Deoband.com
I have a doubt in going to tablighi Jamah. Is it mandatory to go in jamah especially chilla or three chilla? I have spent three days in jamah. But for me my heart is not much inclined towards going to jamah. All my friends are ardent follower of tabligh jamah. They argue that there is no other way for najah today except going in the path of Allah. Moreover I am inclined to tasawwuf (tazkiya) and I know it means and principles even I go to majlis of my naqshabandi sheikh but not formally received bai’at from him. It makes to feel sad when my brothers call for jamah and didn’t go with them. Sometimes their behaviour with me is not good when I do not go with them. Please help overcome this type of feeling and pray for my Islah.

Your heart tends towards tasawwuf so you should try to reform your inner self by the same. Remove bad manners and learn good manners. It is also a branch of religion’s preaching. It is wrong to consider that there is no other way except of Jamah for salvation. Salvation lies in following Allah and of His Prophet Muhammad’s (صلى الله عليه وسلم) teachings. You do your job and let the people of Jamah do their own job. You need not to argue with them.
