when a woman is on her monthly period, after going toilet, does she have to do istanjah as normal with water?

Assalāmu ῾alaykum wa Rahmatullāhi Wabarakātuh
It is masnoon to do istinjah with normal water after using the toilet whether one is in the state of menstruation cycle (period)ornot.
