I want to know, if I missed my Fajir prayer, and later in the morning I noticed the starting of my periods, is that fajir prayer ‘qaza’? Do I have to repeat it?  THirdly, if we pray in the car, is it better to repeat the prayer at home?

Answer

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Assalaamu `alaykum waRahmatullahi Wabarakatuh

1) If fajr salat was missed and the menses commenced after the time of fajr was over, then qadaa of that fajr prayer is necessary.

2) It is not permissible to pray fard salat in the car. One must make an all-out effort on a journey to stop and offer the salat normally. After exertion of all efforts, if one is unable to stop and offer the salat due to a genuine reason, then one should complete the salat in the car and repeat it thereafter when one is able to do so.

It is permissible to pray nafl salat in the car.
