Answer

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Assalaamu `alaykum waRahmatullahi Wabarakatuh

1. It is not permissible to perform any salat in the following three times:

·        At the time of sunrise

·        At the time of zawwaal

·        At the time of sunset

( Al-Hidaya, vol 1, pg 84, Shirkah Ilmiyya)

2. It is makruh to perform any nafl salat in the following two times:

·        After Subh Saadiq till sunrise

·        After the asr salat till sunset

However, it will be permissible to perform qaza(missed)salat in these times.(Al-Hidaya, vol 1, pg 85/86, Shirkah Ilmiyya / Aap ke Masaail, vol 2, pg 111)

3. If a person has missed his fajr salat with jama’h, he should perform it immediately as long as the sun has not risen. He should not wait for the salat to become qaza upon him.

And Allah knows best
