Question
Is the following narration recorded in Musnad At-Tayalisi acceptable to attribute to Nabi (salallahu alayhi wasalam)?
على كل مسلم صدقة في كل يوم

Answer
Imam Bukhari and others (rahimahumullah) have recorded this Hadith without the clause “every day/daily” (i.e. في كل يوم). Therefore, the overall ruling of this narration is that it is authentic.

As for the extra clause of “every day/daily” (في كل يوم) mentioned in the narration of Musnad At-Tayalisi, it is indeed acceptable to attribute to Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wasallam) as well, since it is an extra that has been reported by a credible narrator. This is in accordance with the well-known principle of Hadith: الزيادة من الثقة مقبولة.

Hafiz ibn Hajar (rahimahullah) has also mentioned various narrations supporting this additional clause in the narration in question.

Translation
Hereunder is an explanatory translation of the complete narration in question:
Sayydiuna Abu Musa Al-Ash’ari (radiyallahu ‘anhu) has narrated that Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wasallam) has said: ‘Every Muslim ought to give charity daily.’
They [i.e. the Sahabah – radiyallahu ‘anhum] said: “O prophet of Allah! What about that person who doesn’t have/find anything [to give in charity]?
Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wasallam) answered: ‘He can work with his hand [i.e. make an earning for himself], then benefit himself and give charity.’
They asked: “if he doesn’t [manage to] do that?”
Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wasallam) replied: ‘He should [then] assist one who is troubled by a need.’
They then asked: “And If he was incapable [of assisting one in need]?”
Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wasallam) said: ‘Then he should enjoin good and prohibit evil’
They said: “And if he is unable [to do that as well]?”
Nabi (sallalalhu ‘alayhi wasallam) answered: ‘then he should refrain from evil, for indeed that will be a means of charity for him.’
