Giving gifts to non-Muslims before christmas

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: Is it permissible to give presents to non-Muslim co-workers a few days before or after Christmas with the intention that one is giving the present as an Islamic display of good character?

A: Let it be not just a few days before these kuffaar days. Let it be a considerable amount of time before or after. Even better is that you make over the gifts at the time of Eid or Ramadhaan.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
