Every inhabitant of Jannah will see Allah Ta’ala

I remember hearing that not every person of Jannah will see Allah Ta’ala, only people who are in the highest level will get this opportunity. Is this correct?

Answer

The Hadiths regarding seeing Allah Ta’ala in Jannah are general and do not differentiate.

Sayyiduna Suhayb (radiyallahu ‘anhu) reports that Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said: “When the inhabitants of Jannah have entered Jannah, enter Paradise, Allah Ta’ala will say, ‘Do you wish that I give you anything more?’ They will reply, Haven’t you brightened our faces? Did you not grant us entry into Jannah and save us from the fire?’ Allah Ta’ala will the lift the veil and they would never have received anything more beloved to them than gazing at their Rabb ‘Azza Wa Jalla.’”

(Sahih Muslim, Hadith: 181)

‘Allamah Ibn Taymiyyah (rahimahullah) states that based on these Hadiths, whoever is granted entry into Jannah will be given the opportunity to see Allah Ta’ala, none is excluded from this. [To exclude someone] requires a proof [which is not found].

And Allah Ta’ala Knows best.
