This question is often asked by salafis, that Deobandis believe in Wahdatul Wujood, like Sufis. Which means that Allah is everything. Please explain the correct meaning of this term. Is it an Aqeedah or a mas’ala? Is it something on the basis of which a person can be declared Kafir or a Muslim? (Pakistan)
The concept you have or the one you reported about the ‘salafis’ is not accurate, no one among the Muslims can have such a concept whether it be the Sufis or Deobandis. The Deobandis that are sufi are the true God fearing and most pious scholars. To take objects of this world and then to say that allah is one of those objects is blasphemy and no group endorses this. Since the group of ‘salafi’ doesn’t understand the meaning of ‘wahdatul wujood’ they misunderstand the sufi sect.

The true concept of Islam is that whatever there is in the world that exists today is because of Allah. He created everything and nothing existed without his creation. Islam is the only religion that teaches this. The more in-depth explanation of this concept ought not to be mentioned in front of anybody and everybody because sometimes it is beyond their comprehension. There are many topics in the sacred law of Islam that are complex and are not required to go in their depth by everyone.

The conclusion is that great scholars, learned man, and interpreters of Koran among those who accept and understand the implications of this concept. The explanation you have given, which is taken by the group of ‘salafi’ is not right and no one endorses that as mentioned above.
