Question about the distribution of inheritance in different cases

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by ShariahBoard.org

Asalaam Alaikum wa Rehmatullahi wabarakatohu,

My question is regarding inheritance. I would like to know the distribution of the shares in the following cases:

case one:

mayyiat has one wife, one son,  one daughter .

case Two:

Mayyiat has mother, three real brothers and three brothers from father’s side. A wife, one son and one daughter.

Jazak Allah Khair

بسم اللہ الرحمن الرحیم

:الجواب وباللہ التوفیق

Case 1:

On condition of accuracy of the question; after the payment of the rights of the deceased (such as loans, Will, funeral and burial, charity etc.); all the things of the deceased including movable and immovable property, wealth, cash, gold and silver etc. should be divided into twenty-four (24) parts. Out of which; three (3) parts should be given to the wife, fourteen (14) parts to the son, seven (7) parts to the daughter.

Case 2:

On condition of accuracy of the question; after the payment of the rights of the deceased (such as loans, Will, funeral and burial, charity etc.); all the things of the deceased including movable and immovable property, wealth, cash, gold and silver etc.) should be divided into seventy-two (72) parts. Out of which; The mother should be given twelve (12) shares, the wife will get (9), the son receives thirty-four (34) while the daughter gets seventeen (17) shares.

Real and fatherly siblings (those having same father but different mothers) will be deprived.
