Wearing rings

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Qibla.com

Answered by Shaykh Abu Usamah

A sister recently told a friend of mine that women are only allowed to wear rings on their ring finger and baby finger. Is this true and to what extent i.e. is it sunnah etc. Also is the ruling the same for men and women.

Answer:
In the Name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Al-Salam `alaykum

I have not heard anything of that sort. As far as I know it is permissible for a woman to wear a ring on any of her fingers. As for the wearing of rings by men, see the answer attached below.

Allah Ta`ala Knows Best.
