Performing wudu while half-naked, is it valid?

In your recent answer you said, the wudu is valid if its integrals are fulfilled. It is proper if its sunnas are performed. It is improper to perform wudu when naked.

If one is half naked, or even entirely naked while performing wudu, ones wudu would be valid, and it would be permissible for one to pray when covered. However, it is improper to perform wudu when one’s nakedness is exposed.

The great Hanafi Imam Ibn Abidin mentions in his al-Radd al-Muhtar, that covering ones nakedness when in solitude is necessary (wajib) according to the correct opinion. He explains, “Allah Almighty sees both the covered individual and the uncovered one, however, He sees that the uncovered one neglects good manners, and the covered one observes good manners, and observing good manners is wajib when able to do so. مَطْلَبٌ فِي سَتْرِ الْعَوْرَةِ ( قَوْلُهُ وَالرَّابِعُ سَتْرُ عَوْرَتِهِ ) أَيْ وَلَوْ بِمَا لَا يَحِلُّ لُبْسُهُ كَثَوْبِ حَرِيرٍ وَإِنْ أَثِمَ بِلَا عُذْرٍ , كَالصَّلَاةِ فِي الْأَرْضِ الْمَغْصُوبَةِ , وَسَيَذْكُرُ شُرُوطَ السَّتْرِ وَالسَّاتِرِ ( قَوْلُهُ وَوُجُوبُهُ عَامٌّ ) أَيْ فِي الصَّلَاةِ وَخَارِجِهَا ( قَوْلُهُ وَلَوْ فِي الْخَلْوَةِ ) أَيْ إذَا كَانَ خَارِجَ الصَّلَاةِ يَجِبُ السَّتْرُ بِحَضْرَةِ النَّاسِ إجْمَاعًا وَفِي الْخَلْوَةِ عَلَى الصَّحِيحِ . وَأَمَّا لَوْ صَلَّى فِي الْخَلْوَةِ عُرْيَانَا وَلَوْ فِي بَيْتٍ مُظْلِمٍ وَلَهُ ثَوْبٌ طَاهِرٌ لَا يَجُوزُ إجْمَاعًا كَمَا فِي الْبَحْرِ . ثُمَّ إنَّ الظَّاهِرَ أَنَّ الْمُرَادَ بِمَا يَجِبُ سَتْرُهُ فِي الْخَلْوَةِ خَارِجَ الصَّلَاةِ هُوَ مَا بَيْنَ السُّرَّةِ وَالرُّكْبَةِ فَقَطْ , حَتَّى إنَّ الْمَرْأَةَ لَا يَجِبُ عَلَيْهَا سَتْرُ مَا عَدَا ذَلِكَ وَإِنْ كَانَ عَوْرَةً يَدُلُّ عَلَيْهِ مَا فِي بَابِ الْكَرَاهِيَةِ مِنْ الْقُنْيَةِ , حَيْثُ قَالَ : وَفِي غَرِيبِ الرِّوَايَةِ يُرَخَّصُ لِلْمَرْأَةِ كَشْفُ الرَّأْسِ فِي مَنْزِلِهَا وَحْدَهَا فَأَوْلَى لَهَا لُبْسُ خِمَارٍ رَقِيقٍ يَصِفُ مَا تَحْتَهُ عِنْدَ مَحَارِمِهَا ا هـ لَكِنْ هَذَا ظَاهِرٌ فِيمَا يَحِلُّ نَظَرُهُ لِلْمَحَارِمِ أَمَّا غَيْرُهُ كَبَطْنِهَا وَظَهْرِهَا هَلْ يَجِبُ سَتْرُهُ فِي الْخَلْوَةِ ؟ مَحَلُّ نَظَرٍ , وَظَاهِرُ الْإِطْلَاقِ نَعَمْ فَتَأَمَّلْ ( قَوْلُهُ عَلَى الصَّحِيحِ ) لِأَنَّهُ تَعَالَى وَإِنْ كَانَ يَرَى الْمَسْتُورَ كَمَا يَرَى الْمَكْشُوفَ لَكِنَّهُ يَرَى الْمَكْشُوفَ تَارِكًا لِلْأَدَبِ وَالْمَسْتُورَ مُتَأَدِّبًا , وَهَذَا الْأَدَبُ وَاجِبُ مُرَاعَاتِهِ عِنْدَ الْقُدْرَةِ عَلَيْهِ
