At work there is an interfaith chapel. Can I prayer there if there are carvings on the wall of a cross and a star and crescent to represent Islam (but no pictures, statues, or anything). Is it okay for me to pray there?

Answer:
In the Name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Walaikum assalam wa rahmatullah,

If there aren’t explicit religious symbols and images in the interfaith room, as appears to be the case, then there is no harm in praying there.

And Allah alone gives success.

Wassalam,

Faraz Rabbani
