Question:
The Holy Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him) is the last of all Prophets that Allah has sent for our guidance & the Munkir is Kaafir & this belief acceptable by all Maktaba-e-Fikr……..but the founder of Darul Uloom Deoband Molvi Qasim Nanotwi in his book “Tehzeer-un-Naas ” has written that the belief that the Holy Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him) is the last prophet is from general people point of view but it well known by the Ulamaa that “Khatim-un-Nabiyyin” does not mean last Prophet……………
Please honestly answer my question soon…
Thank u
Answer:
The reputable scholar, Hazrat Moulana Qasim Nanotwi (R.H.) has not opposed the belief held by the Ahlus Sunnah Wal Jamaa’ah that Nabi (S.A.W.) was the last Nabi to come in terms of all aspects, time, age etc. His writing on this topic has been terribly misunderstood.
Hazrat maintained the belief, that Nabi (S.A.W.) excelled all the other Ambiyaa in virtue and he (S.A.W.) is the final messenger. He writes, “There is no possibility whatsoever of any Nabi appearing after Nabi (S.A.W.). I regard the person who entertains this notion (that Nabi (S.A.W.) is not the last prophet) to be a Kaafir.
