Hazrat mufti sahib db Assalaam alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakathuh If a thing is lost within the Masjid or in the compound of the Masjid like Bai thul Khala is there any permission for the Imam to announce it in the Masjid after the Namaz?

Let it be known that the announcement within Masjid on lost articles is prohibited in Hadees. This has been made the common ruling by the Islamic jurists as well. The preferable way is to search for the lost article without a public announcement. Nevertheless some Jurists are of the opinion that only those items that were actually lost or found within the Masjid may be publicly announced. However it is also necessary to give concern to the reverence of the Masjid and avoid undue chaos and uproar.
