If a patient is in a very critical condition, and the patient is only able to breathe naturally by 20% or so, and doctors advise to keep him on a ventilator to support is breath, is this allowed as per Shari’ah?

If the patient is in a critical condition and a professional doctor suggests keeping him on a ventilator to support his health, then it will permissible to keep him on the ventilator.
