What is the grading of the following Hadith?
أجرؤكم على الفتيا أجرؤكم على النار
Answer
Imam Darimi (rahimahullah) has recorded this narration mursalan (i.e. when the Tabi’i omits his source).
(Sunan Darimi, Hadith: 159)
The narration is suitable to quote.
Translation
‘Ubaydullah ibn Ja’far (rahimahullah) reports, Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said:
“The one who is the most hasty to give a fatwa/ruling [without pondering and carefully considering] will enter the Fire first.”
(Refer: Faydul Qadir, Hadith: 183)
