What is authenticity of following narration?
Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said, “Allah Ta’ala will offer more protection to the unlettered/ignorant ones than He will to the learned ones”
Answer
Imam Abu Nu’aym, Imam Bayhaqi (rahimahumallah) and other Muhaddithun have recorded this narration. However, Imam Ahmad ibn Hambal (rahimahullah) has declared the text of the Hadith unreliable (munkar).
Imam Abu Nu’aym and Imam Bayhaqi have also cited this grading of Imam Ahmad (rahimahullah).
