If a person’s Salah and tongue are in order, all other deeds will be

Who is this statement attributed to?

خصلتان إذا صلحتا من العبد صلح ما سواهما من أمره: صلاته ولسانه

Answer

Imam Abu Nu’aym (rahimahullah) has recorded this as the statement of the Tabi’i, Yunus ibn ‘Ubayd (rahimahullah).

(Hilyatul Awliya, vol. 3 pg. 20)

Translation

If two qualities of a person are in order, the rest of his affairs/deeds will also be in order; Salah and his tongue [i.e. He safeguards his tongue]

And Allah Ta’ala Knows best.
