What is the authenticity of this Hadith?
Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said:
“If anyone disputes knowingly about something which is false he remains in the displeasure of Allah till he desists”

This is recorded as part of a longer Hadith in the following Hadith collections:

- Musnad Ahmad, vol. 2 pg. 70
- Mustadrak Hakim, vol. 2 pg. 27
Imam Hakim (rahimahullah) has declared the Hadith authentic and ‘Allamah Dhahabi (rahimahullah) concurs.
