Question

What is the status of the Hadith narrator ‘Umar ibn Abi ‘Umar Al Kala’i?

 

Answer

‘Umar ibn Abi ‘Umar Al Kala’i has been declared weak by the Muhaddithun. His narrations will therefore be deemed weak. However, the Muhaddithun have specifically mentioned that Baqiyyah’s [ibnul Walid] narrations from him are extremely weak.
