i did a lot of sins in past.how 2 do taubah?jazakallahkhair
Answer
(Fatwa: 1373/1085/D=1431)
(1) You should give up the sins in which you are involved right now.
(2) You should do tauba and istighfar from all your previous and present sins. You would better offer two rakat of Salah al-tauba.
(3) Make firm intention that you would not commit the sin in future, however if it happens by chance then make taubah.
(4) Try to pay the rights of Allah i.e. salah, sawm, zakah, hajj, due expiation of oath etc gradually.
(5) Pay whatever rights of people are due on you or get them forgiven by the concerning person.
