Is it permissible to take a salary for arranging Udhiyyah-Qurbani?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Darulifta-Deoband.com
This is how I advertise in USA send Udhiyyah-Qurbani to poor (COST) 1 COW = $ 175 1 SHARE = $ 25 From Muhammad Mangera. My relatives from Gujarat-India will be traveling to far places in India and do cow Udhiyyah-Qurbani on behalf of many people, like previous years. The meat will be distributed amongst the poor. The cows are of different prices in different area. Therefore, adjustments will be made from your contributions. Please contact. Note: Cost includes payment for butchers, people involved in this process, currency exchange fees, travel expense. Any amount remaining will be given as Sadaqah.
Is it halal for people like myself to take some fixed amount as salary from each Qurbani order?
In the note above I mentioned “Cost includes payment for people involved in this process” by this I indicate towards my salary amount I take. In Fatawa Rahimiya volume 9 pg.331 Mufti sahib has answered the qurbni wakeel.

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

(Fatwa: 141/90/D=02/1437)

You shall be wakil on behalf of those who want to do their qurbani. Hence it shall be lawful for you to buy animals, pay the charges of butcher and other expenses as per your expediency. It shall be enough for you to include the information as you have done ie “Cost includes payment for butchers and other related expenses”. However you cannot take some amount as your charges. You will have to fix your charges separately or mention it separately. For which you should state that you will carry out the task of collecting money, buying animals and arranging the butcher for animals and for this you shall charge each share holder so and so amount, for example 50/- rupees and that these charges also are included in the total amount. In short being a wakil you may pay others the charges etc as per your expediency but you cannot take it yourself. It shall be necessary for you to fix it separately and express it in the notice.
