Is it permissible for me to accept an invitation to a shop named after a Hindu god?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Darulifta-Deoband.com
Assalamu Alaikum, My friend opened a sweet sope with a name ” Shri Krishna Sweets” making partnership with a Hindu person and inviting me to come to his shop for having some sweet. Since the shop’s name itself denoting hindu god, I am afraid to eat anything from that shop. Kinldy explain me whether I can accept his invitation or not. Zazakallah Khair.

It is allowable to eat the sweets of the shop. The sweets of the shop will not be haram by naming the shop after their gods. Yes, when one is sure that the sweet presented to him is from the offerings of their gods then it will be unlawful to eat it.
