May I name my daughter Alesha?

I’m looking to name my new born baby girl. I’m thinking of naming had ALESHA. I want to know if I can find out more about the origin and the meaning of the name. Some description is already available online but it’s difficult the trust. Please let me know what you think about this choice of name and if you could suggest a good one instead.

As-salāmu alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

We were unable to retrace the origins of the name Alesha in the Arabic language.[1] Alesha is a variant of the feminine name Alicia, which comes from the same origin as Alice. The names are derived from a German word that means ‘Noble’.[2]

It is not advisable to keep the name Alesha as it has a western origin. Name have an impact on the character and conduct of the child. We advise you choose the names of the Sahabiyyaat and pious women in Islam. A similar name to Alesha is Ayesha. You may also choose other names such as Hafsa, Rumaysa, Juwayriyya, Saliha, Maymuna, or any other great Islamic name.
