Question:

In salah, if someone read قل اغيرُ الله ابغيكم instead of قل اغيرَ الله ابغيكم, what would be the status of the salah?

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Answer:

The salah will be considered valid.

Usually, if a change is made in the I’raab, we would consider whether it changes the meaning. If it does not change the meaning, then it does not invalidate the Salah, and scholars agree on this. If it does change the meaning, there is a difference of opinion (Al Muhit Al Burhani, Vol 2, Pg 76).

Fatwa is given on the opinion that a mistake in the I’raab does not invalidate the Salah (Fatawa Tatarkhania, Vol 2, Pg 110). This is because many people are likely to make such a mistake in their Salah, and it would cause harm/difficulty to make it a cause of rendering Salah invalid, due to how common it is.

Therefore, the Salah would be considered valid and would not need to be repeated.

Only Allah knows best.
